I come from a diverse background in IT from support desk, test engineer to switching over to DevOps. As a DevOps engineer has been characterized by an unflinching commitment to bridge the development and operations divide, ensuring seamless, secured and responsive software delivery. My background in DevOps comes from having experience in both IT and software development which gave me an insight into the challenges faced by both sides. A recent achievement was designing and implementing a high-availability RKE2 cluster on vSphere using Terraform and cloud-init. I was and resilient infrastructures for critical applications, something that is increasingly important in today’s cloud-centric world. Applying STIG guidelines as well as working in air-gapped environments have sharpened my skills at building secure systems without sacrificing efficiency.For instance, I wrote scripts that deploy RKE2 onto air gapped Azure environments illustrating how creative one can be even with strict security parameters. I have deep knowledge of tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins that help me to streamline development processes thus enhancing operational efficiency.
