My journey into the world of DevOps began with a passion for bridging the often wide gap between software development and IT operations. After earning my degree in Computer Science, I landed my first role as an Associate DevOps Engineer at Prana Websolutions. This position was my introduction to the critical practices of automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Key Accomplishments Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with some of the industry's leading organizations, including Microsoft, Equifax, Mastercard, and currently, Kaiser Permanente. Each role has contributed to my growth and expertise in DevOps. At Equifax, one of my most notable accomplishments was designing and implementing a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline. This project was transformative, reducing deployment times by over 50% and significantly enhancing system reliability. I employed Kubernetes for container orchestration and Docker for containerization, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling of applications across various environments. At Mastercard, I led a team that revamped the company's build processes. We implemented GitHub for version control and Azure Data Factory for data integration, resulting in more streamlined operations and improved collaboration across development teams. This initiative not only improved the speed of deployment but also enhanced the overall quality of the software released. Recent Learnings Learning never stops in the field of DevOps, and I am always on the lookout for new tools and technologies to improve my skill set. Recently, I've been focusing on mastering Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Despite being a beginner, I have dedicated myself to understanding the intricacies of deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters on Azure. This learning journey has been incredibly rewarding, adding another valuable tool to my DevOps arsenal.
