0About
I am Akshar Srivastava, a seasoned professional with nearly 10 years of experience in Infrastructure and DevOps. Currently, I lead a team of nine members at Thoughtworks, serving as the Technical Lead for Infrastructure and DevOps at a major investment bank. In this role, I strategically navigate the client’s cloud setup and policies to ensure timely project delivery. My responsibilities include managing end-to-end delivery of infrastructure, CI/CD, and monitoring for multiple projects. In my current position as Lead Consultant in Infrastructure, I have designed and spearheaded the development of a Configuration-Driven Self-Service infrastructure provisioning system. This system empowers teams to rapidly develop, deploy, and scale applications. Additionally, I have created a fully self-reliant and highly extensible Infrastructure and Pipeline As Code solution, and engineered Infrastructure Drift Analysis pipelines for robust monitoring of enterprise infrastructure changes. I also orchestrated and executed a successful rescue operation for a client project, conducted upskilling workshops for SREs, QAs, and Developers, and established a robust backlog management system for my team. Prior to this, I worked at Saxo Bank as a Data Platforms DevOps Engineer, where I was instrumental in building the bank’s data mesh centered around Enterprise Kafka with a hybrid hosting solution in Azure. I created Kustomize templates for Kafka deployment on Kubernetes, containerized Kafka consumers/producers framework, and developed domain-driven, self-service Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for seamless Continuous Delivery. At Accenture, I served as a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Financial Services domain, where I migrated key applications to Microsoft Azure cloud, resulting in a significant reduction in infrastructure cost. I also created CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity and configured infrastructure monitoring using Geneos for real-time alerting and action. During my tenure at Tata Consultancy Services, I led a team of seven members across three projects, providing solutions related to build and release management. I developed resilient architecture, automated deployment tools, and implemented CI/CD with Jenkins/Selenium for automated testing. I hold an MBA in Marketing from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, a PG in Business Analytics and Business Intelligence from Great Lakes Institute of Management and Illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Dayalbagh Educational Institute. I am also certified in Microsoft DevOps Solutions (AZ-400) and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900). Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my contributions, including winning the Cloud Native Individual Challenge and other accolades in hackathons. My technical skills include proficiency in Shell, Python, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, Kafka, Terraform, Ansible, and more.
