Journey and Experiences Introduction My journey in the world of Cloud DevOps engineering has been a rich tapestry of learning, growth, and accomplishments. Educational Foundation My academic journey began at COMSATS University Islamabad, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. This education provided me with a solid grounding in computer science principles and an early introduction to cloud technologies. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, further enhancing my analytical and technical skills. Professional Experience Venturenox, Lahore Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer (July 2022 - Present) In my current role at Venturenox, I lead a team of Cloud DevOps engineers, overseeing the design and implementation of complex cloud solutions. My responsibilities include defining cloud strategies, optimizing performance, and ensuring the security and scalability of cloud environments. One of my key achievements has been the creation of a monitoring and observability chart using open-source tools like Grafana and Prometheus, which has significantly improved our infrastructure's reliability. Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (January 2021 - June 2022) As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, I was instrumental in designing cloud architectures and implementing CI/CD pipelines. I focused on cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization, ensuring our deployments were both efficient and secure. My efforts in establishing robust CI/CD pipelines have streamlined our development processes and improved software delivery. Associate Cloud Engineer (June 2020 - December 2020) In my initial role at Venturenox, I managed cloud infrastructure components and developed automation scripts to enhance our deployment processes. My work in cloud cost optimization and documentation set a strong foundation for my future roles. Projects and Achievements: Testfuse I played a pivotal role in establishing the cloud infrastructure for Testfuse on GCP using Terraform. By managing CI/CD across multiple environments and utilizing tools like Github Actions and Drone CI, I ensured seamless deployments. This project showcased my ability to handle complex cloud solutions and optimize performance. Levvy For Levvy, a work management platform, I set up the cloud infrastructure on AWS and implemented data pipelines with Apache Airflow. My expertise in Terraform and CI/CD enabled efficient management of the project's various environments, highlighting my proficiency in cloud orchestration and automation. Bullrun and Robust Haven: In these projects, I demonstrated my versatility by deploying applications using Kubernetes and Helm charts, and integrating Terraform with Ansible for infrastructure automation. These experiences solidified my skills in cloud-native technologies and infrastructure as code. Skills and Competencies: My technical skill set includes proficiency in cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and IBM, and extensive experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus. I am adept at implementing CI/CD pipelines using Drone CI and Github Actions, and I specialize in Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration. My scripting abilities in Python and Bash have been crucial in automating tasks and improving workflow efficiency.
