I started programming in the 6th grade where I (attempted to) learn GLSL coz I was bored, to a degree of success. I then learnt C and C++. Since then, I've focused on optimizing systems to get the most amout of performance out of them I have my own homelab that runs Proxmox, an L3 hardware Load Balancer, a NAS and a Cisco 3750. Yes, I use a serial cable. There are alerts setup up if anything goes wrong, my VMs and containers are controlled remotely and is working with the maximum efficiency. This extends to my work too. While i am a frontend / full stack developer on paper, my responsibilities include optimizing cicd pipelines to reduce runtimes, often rewriting the entire pipeline to save an extra minute here, or implementing a crazy caching solution to save another minute If I were to describe myself, it would be - performance oriented. If there's something that can run faster, I'll take it upon myself to make it run faster
