My journey as a DevOps engineer has been an exciting blend of continuous learning, problem-solving, and innovation. With over 5 years of hands-on experience in the field, I have developed a deep understanding of the intricate balance between development and operations, which is crucial for building robust and scalable systems Early Beginnings I started my career as a Environment analyst after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics. My initial roles were focused on maintaining various server and low-environment , where I honed my skills in configuring web application server and Linux task During this period, I realized the importance of efficient deployment processes and the role of automation in reducing errors and downtime. This realization sparked my interest in DevOps Transition to DevOps Transitioning to a DevOps role allowed me to leverage my development skills while embracing new challenges in infrastructure management and automation. One of my first major projects was implementing a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins and Git. This project not only improved deployment efficiency but also significantly reduced the time taken to identify and fix bugs, enhancing overall product quality. Building Expertise Over the years, I have become proficient in a variety of DevOps tools and technologies. My expertise includes: Containerization and Orchestration: I have extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, managing containerized applications and ensuring their seamless deployment and scalability. My work with Helm has streamlined the deployment process, making it more efficient and reliable. Cloud Infrastructure: I have worked with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure. My experience includes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, which has greatly improved the consistency and reliability of our deployments. Monitoring and Observability: Implementing monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and New Relic has been a critical part of my role. These tools have enabled proactive monitoring, reducing downtime and improving system performance. CI/CD Pipelines: My proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD has been instrumental in ensuring smooth and automated software releases. These pipelines have drastically cut down the time required for deployments and increased deployment frequency. Scripting and Automation: I have strong scripting skills in Python, Bash which I use to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. Automation has been a key factor in reducing manual errors and speeding up processes.
