From the moment I wrote my first line of code, I knew that the fusion of development and operations—DevOps—was where my true passion lay. My journey began with a solid educational foundation in programming languages and databases, spanning Java, Scala, Python, C++, SQL (MySQL and PostgreSQL), and Redis. Over time, I honed my skills across various technologies and tools such as Spark, Django, VS Code, IntelliJ, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS. One of the highlights of my career was at HERE Technologies, where I played a pivotal role in the Seeding Adapter team within the Unimap Architecture. I architected an efficient data seeding pipeline that processed petabytes of data using Spark, Scala, Git, AWS Lambda, and integrated it with AWS S3 and ECR. This solution not only facilitated seamless ingestion from diverse sources but also centralized key features like metrics, logging, and source/sink registration. The extensibility I prioritized allowed for adapter-defined content transformations, making the pipeline developer-friendly for local issue triaging. A recent project I undertook involved transitioning batch processing jobs to AWS EMR, leading to a 40% reduction in processing costs and a 25% improvement in job performance. This experience deepened my understanding of cloud services and cost optimization, and I introduced a Grafana dashboard for real-time monitoring and analysis of job execution metrics, resource utilization, and pipeline health. My passion lies in automating processes to enhance efficiency and reliability. The dynamic nature of DevOps allows me to constantly learn and adapt, ensuring that systems are robust, scalable, and efficient. I thrive on solving complex problems and enjoy the challenge of optimizing systems for better performance and cost-effectiveness. What sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly integrate development and operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. My unique blend of skills in CI/CD, Jenkins, Splunk, RESTful APIs, Git, GitHub, system design, agile methodologies, JIRA, SDLC, debugging, unit testing, code reviews, and analytics enables me to address challenges that others might find daunting. For instance, at SAVii, I developed a feature for generating CSV files from scratch, which improved user experience by 10%, and created an in-app notification system for billing dates, enhancing user engagement. Why I Am an Asset My diverse experience, coupled with my technical prowess and passion for DevOps, positions me uniquely to contribute to any team.
