PROJECTS ● Carbon Emission Calculator It is a MSSQL server web application that calculates the carbon footprint of buildings using information from AWS IoT technology such as the kind of building, floor space, climatic zone, and type of water fixtures. The project focuses on the hot and trending topic of environmental protection, and the emissions provided as outputs can be associated with water and energy use, and solid waste disposal. ● ScareGrowth The goal of developing this method is to address the difficulty of low yields from farmer crops. The solution ensures careful handling of DynamoDB and MSSQL for storing and backing up farm activity information while preserving high data availability. It uses AWS IoT technology for real-time monitoring, sensor data interpretation, and automated reaction actions using AWS Lambda to address farmers' concerns. The web application interface provides a user-friendly approach to visualise and comprehend the farm's state. ● E-cash Database E-cash Database (MSSQL) was migrated(Re-Platform) to AWS services using an organised process that included database design, MSSQL implementation, and utilising AWS services for security, scalability, and dependability. I designed and implemented the hosting of an MSSQL database in the cloud with scalability, backups, and high availability, using Amazon RDS. I handle access safely while using AWS IAM. Used AWS CloudWatch to create alerts and monitor performance. Encryption keys are managed by AWS KMS for improved security of all account-related data. Used AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) to migrate on-prem data to an MSSQL database hosted on AWS with ease. Configured multi-AZ deployment in Amazon RDS to ensure automatic failover maintaining high availability . I also created automated backups using Amazon RDS snapshots and executed backup plans using AWS S3 for long-term storage and third party (Commvault). Enable CloudTrail to log API calls made to your AWS resources for auditing purposes. To improve performance, I used caching, query optimization, and indexing for the schema. Develop Lambda functions to handle API Gateway requests. These functions interact with your MSSQL database using libraries like MSSQL JDBC driver to perform database operations. Created an API Gateway to define endpoints for your E-Cash Database functionalities (e.g., creating accounts, depositing/withdrawing funds, transferring funds) while using AWS secrets manager to securely store sensitive data like database connection strings and credentials. Secrets Manager retrieves this information when your application connects to the database.
