I have over four years of experience in the field of DevOps. I began my career as a Software Developer or Fullstack Developer during college, working on a cloud-based conference management system. During that time, I gained two years of experience understanding software development and found that infrastructure and DevOps work were quite interesting. Although DevOps exposure was only 20% of my work, with the rest being software coding, I gradually shifted my goal to transition into a DevOps role. After that, I landed my first job in a financial technology company as a Site Reliability Engineer. In the fintech industry, which is very strict on standard practices, I helped the company comply with Indonesian Central Bank regulations and payment security certificates such as PCI-DSS and ISO 27001. I initiated and led the transition of 30 payment services from VM-based to Kubernetes containers. Leveraging my research on 5G infrastructure using Kubernetes from college, I adapted the principles and saved the company approximately 30% on infrastructure costs. Despite this being a 10-month tenure, I achieved my initial goal set on day one. Moving forward, I joined one of Indonesia's popular e-commerce companies, Tokopedia, as a DevOps Engineer. This role focused on SDLC and release management systems. I collaborated with various teams, such as QA and IT security, to improve our CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and bash scripting. I managed and maintained 300 services across three cloud providers: GCP, AWS, and Aliyun. I was also assigned to a new logistics entity to build all the DevOps frameworks from scratch as the first person in my role. The DevOps role at GoTo Logistics extended beyond Tokopedia's, increasing my responsibilities to meet project timelines and priorities. I standardized the DevOps framework, provided guidance to Gojek's delivery team engineers, and worked closely with colleagues in India. To streamline the processes, I regularly socialized and documented the frameworks. I guided more than 50 engineers on the frameworks and culture I developed and contributed to preventing major downtime due to a hidden bug in the autoscaling script, reducing the risk of business loss for 30 logistics services. That was my biggest achievement so far.
