I have been around a computer terminal since the era of trying to boot things from floppy disks. I have worked in a variety of environments from data centers, to on premises custom hardware setups requiring VPN tunnels to the cloud, multi-tenant, single-tenant configurations, and a vast number of third party integrations. I have implemented a large number of complex setups utilizing AWS services to allow for cross account connections for these services. Also, I have designed and implemented every layer of the OSI model(the layers that can be implemented in cloud) with AWS services. All of which are high volume and highly scalable solutions. Most importantly, I enjoy the challenges that infrastructure related roles bring. Troubleshooting things that give zero feedback as to what the error is is oddly my comfort zone - solving problems. I often find myself helping others solve their issues as a mentor, having trained and mentored many engineers and non-engineers. My favorite part about infrastructure I would say is reducing the toil of tasks, automating and building on top of a strong foundation. Infrastructure as code is fun and allows me to expand deeper and deeper into implementations.
