My journey started with working for a product team which was providing hybrid cloud management solution managing client's infra across all public and private clouds with a single web page interface. I was tasked with writing Bash and Powershell scripts to provide provisioning as well hardening solutions. Learnt a great deal there. Did a POC on ansible which the team liked and I was immediately tasked with converting those scripts into close to 200 ansible playbooks. Post that, they wanted their .Net code to be provided as a Docker image offering. Luckily, I was chosen for that and delved into the world of containerization. It was great learning. My second job included setting up a analytics tool developed my company for a US retail client onto Azure. I handled Azure IAAS infrastructure as a lead for a Java application hosted on Azure in a three-tier model. Used RSV to backup production VMs and Databases. Handled OS upgrade process ensuring the application and its data stays intact. Worked with deploying and testing new Java fixes over time to time in QA. Implemented Availability zones for 99.99% uptime. In my current job profile, and my third job, I am tasked with writing Ansible playbooks in Gitlab. Developed CI/CD pipeline for YAML-Lint and Ansible-Lint.
