Job summary
BlueBird IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Systems & Applications Engineer to serve as the highest technical escalation point within their Proactive Operations Centre. The role focuses on maintaining and improving enterprise environments, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and automating processes to enhance operational efficiency.

- Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint Online
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting
- Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Experience in server and workstation troubleshooting
- Experience supporting multiple client environments
- Microsoft certifications are considered an asset
- VMware certifications are an asset
- ITIL Foundation is an asset
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
- Administer Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint
- Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V
- Maintain server performance, storage, and infrastructure health
- Troubleshoot business-critical applications
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement permanent solutions
- Improve monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles
- Participate in server migrations and infrastructure upgrades
- Mentor technical staff and provide guidance on complex issues
