Job summary

Jenoptik is seeking a DevOps engineer to manage build and release pipelines, oversee containerized environments, and support development teams in delivering reliable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Deep understanding of the software development life cycle
• Knowledge of Azure, .NET, and SQL/SQL Server
• Familiarity with common web architectures
• Experience mentoring and training engineers
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design engineering processes to simplify software build, deployment, and operation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Manage Azure-hosted, containerized environments for .NET applications
• Review code and designs for scalability and performance
• Build developer tools to improve release speed and code quality
• Define standardized environments with the development team
• Write technical documentation, unit tests, and integration tests
• Support governance and quality assurance through automated testing
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize Azure performance
• Serve as an escalation point for service incidents
• Evaluate new tools and approaches
