Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Operations

Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer role is centered on migrating and modernizing production applications on Kubernetes while ensuring system reliability and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include integrating third-party software, defining SLOs and SLIs, enhancing observability, and automating operational tasks using technologies such as Helm, Prometheus, and service mesh platforms like Istio.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering or similar role
• Solid hands-on experience running production workloads on Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of Helm
• Experience with service mesh technologies
• Understanding of service-to-service networking
• Experience with GitOps and modern deployment strategies
• Practical understanding of SRE concepts
• Experience with observability and tracing tooling
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals
• Comfortable troubleshooting JVM-based applications
• Comfortable automating with Python, Go, Bash or similar
• Interest in applying AI to observability
• Interest in operating applications that depend on GPU resources

Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize production applications on Kubernetes
• Integrate third-party software into production platforms
• Work alongside Software and IT Engineers to improve reliability
• Design and operate applications on service mesh platform
• Integrate safe deployment patterns such as canary releases
• Define SLOs, SLIs and operational KPIs
• Improve observability across metrics, logs and traces
• Explore and integrate AI tools for troubleshooting
• Test system behavior under load
• Automate repetitive operational work
• Provide Level-3 support and participate in on-call rotation
