Job summary

The Senior Azure Platform Engineer is responsible for developing and automating a modern cloud platform while managing key services within the Azure environment. This role involves designing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Bicep, analyzing stakeholder requirements, and ensuring platform stability through comprehensive lifecycle management and troubleshooting.

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent experience
• Practical experience with public cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure
• In-depth knowledge of modern cloud architectures and IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform and Bicep
• Knowledge in cloud governance, policy management, centralized logging, and automated deployments
• Understanding of modern development and operational models, including CI/CD processes
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate a modern cloud platform
• Manage central services within the Azure environment
• Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with Terraform and Bicep
• Ensure standardized deployment and configuration of cloud resources
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical tasks
• Oversee platform components throughout their lifecycle

• Document relevant incidents and structured solutions
