Job summary
Mas*** is seeking a Principal AI Platform Engineer to lead the AI infrastructure roadmap for their private cloud, focusing on scalable platforms for AI workloads. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with model development and advocating for technical decisions to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in large scale infrastructure, platform engineering, or systems architecture roles
- Proven experience owning infrastructure roadmaps in on premise or private cloud environments
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data science workflows, MLOps practices, and model lifecycle management
- Familiarity with Generative AI and Agentic AI architectures
- Understanding of compute (CPU/GPU), high performance storage, and networking technologies
- Exposure to high density, high power AI infrastructure
- Strong product thinking
- Experience running RFIs/RFPs
- Ability to navigate and influence within a large organization
- Effective communicator with senior leaders
Responsibilities
- Lead AI infrastructure roadmap for Mas***’s on premise private cloud
- Act as a product owner for AI infrastructure
- Lead RFI and RFP processes for AI infrastructure components
- Architect and scale infrastructure for large scale predictive and generative models
- Define and champion modern AI infrastructure standards
- Partner closely with data science, MLOps, and platform teams
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, risk, governance, compliance, and legal teams
- Influence senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI infrastructure
