Platform Engineer Kubernetes / On-Prem Cloud (m/w/d)

Job summary

Rheinmetall is seeking a Platform Engineer to operate and improve their Kubernetes-based on-premise platform and deployment tools. The role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Helm Charts, and deployment automations, as well as ensuring platform reliability, security, and monitoring. The engineer will collaborate with infrastructure, cloud administrators, and software teams for continuous platform improvement.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Software Development, or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, and Linux-based environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab), Helm, Docker, and deployment automation
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions and best practices in platform security
• Structured work approach and strong teamwork skills
• Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Basic willingness to travel
