Job summary

Aer Studios is seeking a DevOps Practice Lead to oversee their DevOps practice, focusing on the design, build, and enhancement of Cloud infrastructure and developer tooling.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience in a similar role
• Experience leading a DevOps team and managing people
• Experience architecting, building, and supporting infrastructure
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Understanding of open server stack including Linux, Apache, MySQL
• Experience in process automation
• Experience with Git and Git workflows
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with containerization platforms and tools
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience in incident management
• Experience managing sysadmin/DevOps projects
• Experience collaborating with DevOps teams on architecture
• Experience in fast-paced commercial environments
• Experience using Jira/Confluence
• Experience in capacity management
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Identify and own technical components spanning multiple projects
• Mentor engineers through pair programming and code reviews
• Facilitate engineers' career goals and professional development
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Run group meetings and ensure action completion
• Produce high-quality solutions to complex problems
• Assist with technical aspects in RFP responses
• Plan and estimate medium-large projects
• Participate in customer workshops and stakeholder management
• Participate in the interviewing process of new team members
