Cloud Engineer

Job summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, deliver, and improve Azure-based services while ensuring their security and reliability. This hands-on role involves using modern cloud practices, including Infrastructure-as-Code and automation, to enhance service health and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform.
• Awareness of CI/CD practices and experience with source control.
• Understanding of service availability, monitoring, and incident response in a cloud environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot Azure platform issues and deliver sustainable fixes.
• Understanding of cloud networking and security concepts.
• Collaborative approach with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and automate Azure-based solutions in line with platform standards and security requirements.
• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly Terraform.
• Monitor service health, respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to service improvement.
• Improve observability across Azure services through effective logging and monitoring.
• Support migration of existing systems to Azure and deployment of new cloud-based services.
• Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve cloud platform operations.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for scripting and documentation.
