AWS Cloud Engineer y/o Cloud Architect

Job summary

Babel is seeking a Cloud Engineer with solid experience in AWS and Terraform to design, evolve, and maintain modern, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of practical experience working with AWS and cloud infrastructure management
• Solid experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Experience working with Docker
• Knowledge of container orchestration with ECS and/or EKS
• Experience or solid knowledge of serverless and cloud-native architectures
• Knowledge of API Gateway, CloudFront, and other AWS ecosystem services
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and telemetry tools
• Scripting knowledge with Python, Bash, or similar technologies
• Regular use of Git
• Ability to understand architecture designs and implement them technically

Responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure on AWS following AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, API Gateway, and CloudFront
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker and ECS/EKS
• Participate in implementation and optimization of serverless and cloud-native architectures
• Configure monitoring and observability solutions with tools like CloudWatch and Dynatrace
• Define alerts and analyze metrics to proactively detect performance issues
• Collaborate in configuring and evolving CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost
• Participate in infrastructure code reviews and share best practices
• Document architectures, operational procedures, and cloud standards
• Collaborate closely with development, architecture, and DevSecOps teams
