Job summary

Portage CyberTech is seeking a motivated DevOps Specialist to join their Software Engineering team. The role involves supporting software delivery processes, cloud infrastructure, and automation initiatives while gaining hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud computing
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, software development, system administration, cloud technologies, or related technical roles
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Methodical and well-organized with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools and automation techniques

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of DevOps processes and best practices
• Assist with the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
• Help monitor systems’ performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to alerts
• Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to support project delivery
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency
• Assist development and QA teams with the configuration and management of test environments
• Participate in software releases and production deployments under the guidance of senior team members
• Support infrastructure documentation and operational procedures
