Job summary

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team is seeking an IT Platform Engineer to support and enhance their core IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux, Windows, and hypervisor platforms
• Knowledge of storage solutions and associated infrastructure
• Experience supporting infrastructure platforms in enterprise environments
• Knowledge of identity management and modern authentication methods
• Experience with scripting and automation for operational tasks
• Understanding of datacentre environments and networking
• Strong attention to detail and high technical standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Organised and proactive in managing multiple workstreams

Responsibilities

• Contribute within a collaborative technology team to deliver objectives
• Manage and maintain traditional infrastructure across Windows and Linux
• Install, configure and support physical IT hardware in datacentre environments
• Support and troubleshoot server workloads, virtual machines, and services
• Contribute to infrastructure security and business continuity
• Enable and support self-service platforms for scalable solutions
• Drive automation and continuous improvement for efficiency
• Support out-of-hours escalations for business-critical services
• Act as a key contact across teams for platform capabilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve infrastructure
